Steve Newman

Director

Steve Newman is an associate professor in Temple’s English Department, specializing in British literature of the Long Eighteenth Century.  Among his publications are “The Value of ‘Nothing’: Ballad and The Beggar’s Opera”; Ballad Collection, Lyric, and the Canon (Penn), which includes a chapter on The Beggar’s Opera.  He also published widely in Scottish literature and is the textual editor of The Gentle Shepherd, the first volume in The Collected Works of Allan Ramsay (Edinburgh UP).

Alex Wermer-Colan is the Interim Academic Director and Digital Scholarship Coordinator of Temple University Libraries’ Loretta C. Duckworth Scholars Studio, where he directs and advises research and teaching with emerging technologies.

Becca Fülöp is the Performing Arts Librarian at Temple University. She also holds a PhD in historical musicology from the University of Michigan and has previously taught music history.

Fred Rowland is a librarian who supports the humanities and social sciences at Temple University. He holds a BA in German (University of Virginia, 1981), MLS (Drexel, 2001), and MBA (Temple, 2005).

Kristina De Voe is English & Communication Librarian at Temple University. In this role, she provides research and instructional support to faculty and students and develops print and digital collections in her liaison areas.

Performing Arts Librarian

Anne Harlow was performing arts librarian at Temple University from 2000-2021. Previous to that, she served as music librarian at Rowan University and the Curtis Institute of Music. In addition to digital humanities, her research interests include cultural exchange during the Cold War and arts integration in education across disciplines.
